This week prompt is: Write about a secret revealed

As soon as he heard the music, Andrew began to move in rhythm with it, while pulling the zipper of his pants down. He was still dizzy from all the champagne but understood that he had to undress. What the hell for wasn’t really clear in his mind, but he decided to go along with it. With a shake of his butt, he let the pants fall down on his ankles. Maroon Five’s “Move Like Jagger” was playing on the radio, and that was all that mattered to him. He loved this song and always needed to dance to it whenever he heard it. He was so engrossed with his dancing that he forgot he wasn’t steady on his legs and felt down on the bathroom floor with a cry.

Antonio turned around when he heard Andrew’s cry and cursed as he saw him fall. He reached out and was able to get a hold on him before he could really hurt himself, realizing with dismay that the other man passed out. Grumbling, he gently let him lay on the floor and took a step back. He allowed himself for the first time to take a really good look at Andrew’s body. God, the man was gorgeous! Lean without being thin; muscular but not big; even his arms were calling him. His eyes drifted lower, past his navel. He held his breath as he finally looked at the other man’s cock. Even as it rested softly on his thighs, it was quite impressive. Damn, what would I be willing to do to taste it on my tongue?  Reluctantly, because he didn’t trust himself at that moment, he turned around and tried to figure out how to proceed. Obviously, he would have to go under the water with Andrew; the other man couldn’t stand by himself. He didn’t want to wet his clothes, not having anything else to wear. But he didn’t want to be completely naked near Andrew, either. He didn’t have enough strength to resist the attraction he was feeling right now.  He decided to strip down to his briefs. He could simply go commando if needed. He undressed, avoiding deliberately looking in Andrew’s direction, but had to when he was done. If he was going to hold the other man under the cold water spray, he would have to look at him at some point! Sighing, he turned and bent to pick up Andrew, holding him tight in his arms and went under the shower, trying not to think about this body pressed against his.

Andrew was still dazed when a stream of icy water struck his face. The shock was so violent that it cut off his breath. What the hell!! Then he realized that he was in the shower, completely naked, Antonio’s body against his. Okay, how did this happen? The cold water was beginning to clear his mind and everything came back to him. He had to explain to Antonio his marital state, and fast. He didn’t want that misunderstanding to spoil any chance they could have to be together. But first of all, he had to get out of this cold shower and take some distance from Antonio’s body.

“I’m fine now, you can let me go,” he mumbled without looking at Antonio.

Still not looking at the other man, Andrew got out of the shower and grabbed a towel to hide the semi-erection he was sporting despite the very cold water. When he was decent, he turned and gave a towel to Antonio, his eyes drifted to the now transparent boxers.

“Hmm…let’s dry up and we’ll go in the living room. We have some talking to do.”

Antonio looked at him and nodded while drying himself.

“I’ll leave you alone. I’m going to grab some clothes. Do you need anything?”

“No, I’m fine. You go along and I’ll join you in a minute. Oh, I could have some coffee though. I think you should drink some too. It’s seems that it’s going to be a long night.”

Andrew didn’t answer and fled out of the bathroom, his mind in turmoil. Yes, it was going to be a very long night. And he prayed it would end up with some cuddling if nothing else.

**********

They were sitting on the couch, sipping their coffee, and not talking. Andrew sighed. He knew he had to speak, but it seemed that his tongue was stuck to his palate. He risked a glance to Antonio and found him staring at him with intensity.  Okay, here we go! He cleared his throat and took a deep breath.

“I’m married. At least until tomorrow, when my divorce will be official. I didn’t plan to deceive you. I haven’t felt  married for a long time. My wife..Erm..my ex-wife is a childhood friend. I always knew that I was gay, but I come from a very uptight family. I thought that I could go on with this charade, and Coleen loved me enough to pretend that we were a couple. I think that she thought she could change me. And I thought that I could change, for her, for my parents… For everybody but me. We’ve been married for two years, and I couldn’t change. Coleen became angry and bitter. We used to be best friends, we are now enemies. Such a mess!” he stopped abruptly, realizing that he was babbling.

Antonio didn’t say anything; he just kept staring at Andrew, who shifted uncomfortably on the couch.

“Say something,” he whispered. “Anything…”

Antonio sighed. Was he ready to begin a story with Andrew? It seemed that the man had a lot of issues. Was he worth all the trouble he would have to deal with?

“I understand, Andrew. And I should have waited for your explanations instead of running out, but I met a married man once, and that relationship left me hurt and weak. I don’t want that anymore. You scared the hell out of me when I saw that pic.” He took a deep breath and looked Andrew in the eyes. “I don’t want a one night stand; I’m looking for something deeper. And I’m not sure you’re ready for that.”

Andrew felt cold sweat running down his spine. Antonio didn’t want him! No! I’m ready, he wanted to shout. Instead, he just stayed there, looking at the Italian, trying to find arguments to make him change his mind.

“I have a secret to tell you,” he said, his voice trembling with the urgency to convince the other man. “When you kissed me yesterday, that was my very first kiss with a man. You can’t imagine how I felt. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t only because you’re a man, but because it’s you. When I met you on that street, I was instantly attracted to you. Very attracted. I already found some guys attractive, but you…You, you’re special. I’m not looking for a one night stand either. I’ve wasted my life trying to please everybody. I’m tired of it. I want someone that I can love and rely on. I’m not asking you to move in with me, but I would like you to give me a chance.”

Antonio was thoughtful for a minute, and Andrew held his breath. Please, please, give me that chance!  At last, Antonio seemed to have reached a decision. He looked at Andrew and took his hand in his.

“I’ll tell you what. We’ll take it one step at the time. I don’t want to rush anything. I’m not going to lie to you; I’m very attracted to you too. But I want to take it slowly. I want to be sure about us before we go any further. Let’s try to know each other first. I just moved here, this is a new life for me. I had to leave my last town because of who I am. I want to build a life here. I like this town….” Pressing Andrew’s hand, he added in a low voice. “So, what do you think? You’re willing to take it slow and learn to know me?”

Andrew let the breath he wasn’t aware he was holding slip through his lips. Yes, he could do that, no problem, as long as he got to see Antonio again.

“Yes. Yes, I’m willing to get to know you and take it slow,” he said hoarsely, his heart beating like a drum. “Do you want more coffee?”

  3. Ahh, we're leaning toward a happy ending! But, next week is a Hook Up, and you can't have their first night together be something that short. It needs to be long... long and descriptive.

    Loved it!

    :)
